TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Lantern Parade registration is open from 30 August – 12 September 2019 only.
  • FREE* lantern redemption is limited for the first 500 participants who have pre-registered online ( 400 units for shoppers, 100 units for Putra Junior Club Members) and 250 paper lanterns with LED light for Autsome Members.
  • Lantern collection will begin from 5pm* until 6.30pm and should you arrived later than the stated timing, the organizer reserves the right to distribute to next participant in line (Walk-ins).
  • Each participant can only registration & collect for 1 pax only. (1 Lantern & Mooncake Per Registration)
  • Parade route are subject to changes without prior notice.
  • Mooncake are to be collected after the parade ends at the collection booth (Main Concourse) on the event day itself.
  • Participants are required to provide the official mooncake voucher upon collection.
  • Availability of lanterns & mooncakes are while stocks lasts.

  • Lanterns & Mooncakes are strictly not for resale, not transferable and not exchangeable for cash or other items.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any of the item with other products of similar value at any time without prior notice.
  • Participation in the Lantern Parade is open to all residents of Malaysia and tourist. Participants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the Participants must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions.
  • Parents /guardians may be required to also include his/her name and other information in the Online Registration Form (as defined below), as evidence of consent to the minor entering the Lantern Parade.
  • Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by adults at all times during the Lantern Parade.
  • Sunway Putra Mall and Event Organizer reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries.
  • Any Online Registration Form received after the Registration Deadline will be disqualified. The Organiser will not entertain or to be responsible for entries not received by the Registration Deadline.
  • No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries.
  • Submission of the Online Registration Form does not guarantee the Participants opportunity to participate in the Lantern Parade. The Organiser shall be entitled to reject or refuse participation by the Participants for any reason whatsoever including if any provisions in the Terms and Conditions are not fulfilled or adhered to by the Participants.

Participation in the Lantern Parade

  • Participants in the Lantern Parade should gather at Sunway Putra Mall’s Main Concourse, Ground Floor 6.45 pm for a 7:30pm departure from the Main Entrance.
  • The Lantern Parade will take approximately 30 minutes.
  • The safety of each lantern is paramount to all Participants. Under no circumstances are there to be any sharp or harmful object on or protruding from any structure or as part of any prop on the lantern. No fireworks, crackers, sparklers or other pyrotechnics or sirens are allowed or to be used at any time during the Lantern Parade.
  • In the interest of public safety, the Organiser reserve the right to inspect each of the Participant’s lantern, as a condition of participating in the parade, requiring any changes or modifications to the lantern which they deem necessary.

Indemnities and Warranties by the Participants

The Participants represents and warrants to the Organiser that:-

  • he/she has the right, authority and power to participate in the Lantern Parade in accordance with Terms and Conditions and shall provide such proof as the Organiser requires; all personal details submitted by the Participants to the Organiser are true, correct and complete; and
    he/she acknowledge that all personal details disclosed to the Organiser pursuant to his/her participation in this Lantern Parade is subject to the Privacy Notice stated below.
  • The Participants acknowledge that he/she, in engaging in the Lantern Parade, is not insured by the Organiser in respect of any loss, damage or injury and accepts that he/she should be responsible for his/her own safety and security. Participants agrees to hold harmless and defend the Organiser from and against all losses, damages, expenses and all third party actions, proceedings, claims, demands, costs (including legal cost of each other), awards and damages arising as a result of the Participants engaging in the Lantern Parade.

  •  The protection of personal data is an important concern to Sunway and any personal data collected on this form will be treated in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Notice of the company at http://www.sunway.com.my/group/privacy.asp
  •  Participants are deemed to have read the Personal Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) (as posted on http://www.sunway.com.my/group/privacy.asp) and agreed to the processing of their personal information in accordance with the Notice.
